The goals of CHROME are:
- To identify, nurture, and assist underrepresented minority and female students to pursue careers in science, mathematics, engineering, and related technical fields;
- To provide training activities, programs, and resources designed for teachers, counselors, and parents to encourage underrepresented minority and female students to pursue careers in science, mathematics, engineering, and related technical fields;
- To establish and sustain partnerships among businesses and corporations, higher education institutions, school systems, civic and professional organizations, government agencies, and other entities committed to the mission of CHROME;
- To support educational improvements in the areas of science, mathematics, engineering, and technology consistent with the CHROME mission and goals; and
- To continue to be the best pre-college model for the development of programs regionally, nationally and internationally.
